Role Summary
We are looking for a techno-functional Business Analyst / Laboratory Informatics SME with strong
experience in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Clinical Laboratory Informatics, and laboratory integration
workflows.
The role involves supporting the development and enhancement of middleware drivers that connect
laboratory instruments, analyzers, LIS/LIMS systems, and downstream healthcare applications. These
drivers enable order management, data exchange, results processing, and bi-directional communication
between instruments and LIS systems.
The candidate will serve as the local functional SME for the technical team, helping clarify requirements,
validate implementation, support demos, participate in QA activities, and ensure that the solution meets
the defined specifications and intended use.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the functional SME between the client Product Owner, client technical / functional SMEs, and
the local development team.
Understand written requirements and explain functionality, workflows, edge cases, and
implementation expectations to engineering teams.
Support development of new middleware drivers and enhancements to existing drivers.
Clarify requirements with the client Product Owner before implementation wherever needed.
Validate implemented functionality against specifications and intended use.
Support configuration, message handling, parsing, and validation of HL7 / ASTM / custom message
formats.
Help correlate current functionality with similar drivers or past implementations.
Participate in QA, verification, validation, UAT support, defect triage, and demos of the built solution.
Lead or support root cause analysis for issues related to requirements, functionality, integration, or
workflow gaps.
Work closely with AI, data, integration, and engineering teams where AI-enabled requirements or
agent-based functionality is involved.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with deep laboratory informatics experience and the ability to
work closely with technical teams. They should be able to understand lab workflows, instrument
connectivity, HL7 / ASTM / custom message formats, order-result exchange, and middleware driver
functionality.
This person should have a proactive ownership mindset, be quick to understand new functionality, think
through edge cases, support QA validation, and help ensure that the delivered solution meets the
specification and intended use.
